our impact

For more than a century, IINE has been helping to welcome, aid, educate, employ, and naturalize New England’s refugees and immigrants. As the number of forcibly displaced people throughout the world reaches staggering numbers, our staff and supporters continue to rise to meet a level of unprecedented need.

In fact, in 2023, we provided services to nearly 10,000 refugees and immigrants—more than double the individuals we helped in 2022. We are inspired by the generosity of our partners, states, and donors, and by the resilience and courage of those we serve. Over time, they give back to our communities so much more than they receive.

What We Do

Get Involved

From volunteer opportunities to donating goods to community sponsorship, there are many ways to join our mission.

Our work is fueled by dedicated staff, volunteers, donors, and partners. If you are interested in contributing to IINE’s mission, there are many ways to be involved, from attending an event to donating goods to accompanying a refugee family as they navigate their new home. However you choose to help, your time and support will help us pave a pathway for the thousands of immigrants and refugees we serve each year.

SERVICES HIGHLIGHT

Resettle Together:
Community Sponsorship at IINE

According to the UN refugee agency UNHCR, more than 100 million people are now forcibly displaced worldwide. This human rights crisis has created an unparalleled and unexpected need for refugee services in our communities. Fortunately, it has also catalyzed vital collaboration between resettlement agencies, volunteers, donors, and community groups. The relationships built during this time of emergency have provided fertile grounds from which to build our new program – “Resettle Together: Community Sponsorship at IINE.” This program formalizes partnerships to support one another, welcoming refugees to New England, and guiding them toward security and self-sufficiency.

Welcome to America!
