Afghans and U.S. citizens who have been evacuated from Afghanistan in the past few weeks owe their lives to the heroic efforts of U.S. troops guarding Hamid Karzai International Airport.

The International of New England (IINE) is grateful to U.S. troops who have bravely helped thousands of people to safety. We condemn the terrorist attack that caused 170 Afghans and U.S. soldiers to lose their lives, including Marine Sergeant Johanny Rosario Pichardo, a native of the Dominican Republic who grew up in Lawrence, Massachusetts. IINE will honor her memory by helping those she helped to protect restart their lives in New England.
