Sabyne said goodbye to her mother in Haiti when she was just 4 years old, as her mother left for the U.S. Sabyne’s mother would spend the next decade sleeping on couches and floors, going days without eating, and working any job she could find, all while navigating the language and customs of an unfamiliar world. She did this for Sabyne and her sister – so they could one day join her in the U.S. and find a better life. Initially a client of IINE, today Sabyne is a Senior Program Manager. She spends hours every day hearing stories of desperate choices, family separation, and precious memories of loved ones left behind.

• $5,000 helps identify and support housing for a newly arrived family
• $2,500 provides 50 legal consultations for immigrant families
•$1,000 provides English instruction to an adult learner
• $500 provides seasonally appropriate clothing for a family

• $50 buys snacks and drinks for a walk-in clients in our waiting rooms
