We received a wonderful email from a community partner at New Hampshire Public Radio regarding a podcast they recently released explaining Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).

New Hampshire Public radio produces a podcast called Civics 101 (which explains in everyday language with guests/experts – how does democracy work? What are the meaning behind terms like the Electoral College or Populism ? What does the Department of Homeland Security do? What are the National Archives? How does Lobbying work? It’s like a civics ‘refresher’ course.

What exactly is DACA, or the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals? Is it the same as the Dream Act? What will happen if and when it expires?  How do DACA recipients effect the economy?  Today, an explainer and brief history of DACA. Our guest is Sarah Gonzalez, youth and families reporter for WNYC.
