Certified/Licensed Nursing Assistant Programs

Certified/Licensed Nursing Assistant (CNA/LNA) programs are specialized educational courses designed to train individuals to provide basic care for patients in healthcare settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, and long-term care facilities.

IINE offers a CNA program at our Lowell location and an LNA program in Manchester.

These programs include a blend of classroom instruction and practical, hands-on clinical experience. The curriculum covers fundamental nursing skills, anatomy and physiology, infection control, nutrition, and basic patient care skills like bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance. Communication skills and patient privacy are also key components of the training.

Upon completion of the program, students are required to pass a state-approved certification or licensing exam to become a Certified or Licensed Nursing Assistant. This qualification is essential for employment in many healthcare settings, and CNAs/LNAs play a crucial role in supporting registered nurses and doctors by providing essential day-to-day care to patients, helping to monitor their condition, and ensuring a comfortable and clean environment. Their work is vital in the overall healthcare team, providing critical support and enhancing the quality of patient care.
