Job Skills Training

IINE offers multiple intensive job training programs throughout the year.

Many classes take place online, and others are hybrid (a combination of online and in-person learning at IINE’s Boston location). Program graduates enter careers in the construction, healthcare, hospitality, and service industries, often then moving up to higher positions with greater responsibility and better pay.

About Our Students

IINE students come from 60 countries, and most of them live in and around Boston: Allston, Brighton, Charlestown, Chinatown, Dorchester, Downtown, East Boston, Fenway, Hyde Park, Jamaica Plain, Mattapan, Mission Hill, the North End, Roslindale, Roxbury, South Boston, South End, West End, and West Roxbury, as well as Malden, Quincy, Everett, Revere, and Chelsea. Some students travel to class from as far away as Brockton!

Most IINE students go on to careers in their chosen field, and many advance to management positions before long.

Bridge to IT Proficiency

Bridge to IT Proficiency

For many newcomers, a lack of digital skills can be a barrier to stable employment. IINE’s Bridge to IT Proficiency Program helps participants overcome that challenge by building the computer and technology skills needed to succeed in today’s workforce.

The program begins with a 10-week Digital Literacy course that provides hands-on instruction in essential computer skills. From there, participants receive individualized support through advanced training in Microsoft applications and referrals to specialized workforce development programs offered by trusted partner organizations.

Culturally and linguistically responsive, the program combines career counseling, educational guidance, and one-on-one coaching to help participants gain confidence using computers, software, and online tools. Ultimately, the goal is to open doors to meaningful employment opportunities, particularly in sectors where digital proficiency is critical to success.

About the Course

  • Computer literacy training for beginners using Northstar Digital Literacy
  • A one-to-one student to teacher/volunteer ratio
  • Proficiency training with stackable credentials for advanced users
  • Career counseling and job search support

This class helped me a lot in developing my skills, such as speaking confidently in interviews, giving a speech, knowing my strengths and weaknesses, and working on them. It was useful to me in a lot of ways, and it gave me a lot of experience to develop and arrange my future ideas. Thank you so much.”
