Managing Director, Boston

Hannah Odaa

Hannah is a passionate human rights and social justice advocate, team leader, and problem solver, with more than a decade of experience serving refugees and immigrants in Boston through education, employment, and skills training programs. Her leadership expertise includes program design and implementation, systems development, efficiency improvement, and cultivating growth mindset amongst her team members. Having started in Employment, she still draws motivation from the smiles and relief she saw on people’s faces when they got their first job offers. She is also inspired by the resilience of her great grandparents who fled the Holocaust and resettled in Brooklyn from Eastern Europe.

Following her interests in international development and women’s empowerment, in 2010, along with a team of four Haitian community mobilizers, Hannah started a microcredit program and women’s self-help groups in Port-au-Prince, Haiti that have since expanded and are still running today. She is excited to work with new Haitian immigrants to Boston and to be a part of a service organization that encompasses the full gamut of welcoming, integrating, stabilizing, and educating refugees and immigrants from all over the world.

In her free time, Hannah enjoys spending time with her family at the beach or in the woods, traveling, and gardening.
