Director, Corporate Giving & Engagement

Leilani is a world-traveler and intercultural explorer who thrives on conversation and connection. She has studied international relations in both Boston and Paris, spent time in Geneva while completing humanitarian work, and is fluent in English, French, and Swedish. She also has a working knowledge of Arabic, Spanish, and Italian. In 2018, Leilani was bestowed with knighthood by the French Republic into the Ordre des Palmes Académiques (French Order of Academic Palmes), initially established in 1808 by Emperor Napoleon, for dedicated service to education and French language and culture.

Leilani worked for 15 years in Global Programs at Boston University before joining IINE. Her involvement began as a volunteer supporting IINE’s Suitcase Stories live storytelling program. In her current role, she thrives on building relationships with IINE’s corporate supporters, learning about their interests and passions and demonstrating what their support can mean for refugees and immigrants in our communities.

Beyond travel, language, and culture, Leilani has a passion for studying the metaphysical and mystical, including astrology, divination, and energy healing. She is a certified traditional Japanese Reiki Master.
