IINE Leadership Team Kayla Rossmeissl
Director of Program Design & Evaluation
Kayla Rossmeissl
Kayla’s passion is studying community needs and turning data and stories into effective programs that achieve real change.
She has been immersing herself in different cultures since studying abroad in Tanzania as an undergraduate, where she became a Teaching Assistant for a Swahili professor and developed an interest in data analysis while helping a Ph.D. student conduct research on African countries’ use of public funds. Later as a Peace Corps Volunteer, she taught English in a rural farming town in China, brought a cohort of her students to a local Women’s Conference so they could learn from their peers, and became Chair of the Volunteer Action Committee to help improve the Peace Corps program in China for its 250 volunteers.
At the New Hampshire Adult Bureau of Education, Kayla helped organize and lead the first Evidence-Based Reading Instruction training for adult educators throughout New Hampshire and Vermont.
Her work at IINE has included providing ESOL instruction, cultural orientation, and citizenship preparation; overseeing education and workforce training programs; managing local, state and federal grants and contracts; and designing and evaluating programs in various service areas.
Kayla enjoys spending her free time with her high-energy family, going on bike rides, hiking, and camping. Cooking for her children and seeing how quickly the food disappears fills her heart. She also enjoys running while listening to podcasts, and working on drafting her dream botanical sanctuary filled with flowering jasmine and colorful foliage.
