SEE has been a valued partner of the International Institute of New England’s for years, often hiring our refugee and immigrant clients to their staff. In 2025, SEE reached out to expand our partnership to include interpretation and translation support. When Spanish-speaking families expressed interest in registering for a summer camp at SEE, our team quickly set up over-the-phone interpretation to assist with registration. We also translated administrative documents for the camp, ensuring every interested family could take part. Then, in the fall, as SEE prepared to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, our team helped translate posters highlighting Hispanic scientists into Spanish.
As SEE continues to update its exhibits and plan upcoming programming, their team is intentionally incorporating language access and inclusion into the planning process. Through this ongoing partnership, the SEE Science Center is helping ensure that all children in Manchester have access to enriching science experiences, and that its staff, visitors, and exhibits reflect the diversity of the city it proudly serves.

Over the Phone Interpretation
Document Translation
As we have begun using IINE’s Language Services, the things that are most noticeable are affordability and ease of use. Especially for things like phone translation, the ability to immediately call to get a translator so that you can help someone in the moment is huge. We no longer have to try to coordinate scheduling to set up a translator, we can do it all immediately, making this a far less frustrating experience for the people we are serving and our staff.
